TimTIMOTHY R. MEYER
President & Chief Investment Officer

My path to becoming a professional portfolio manager began at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I majored in Investment Theory and Portfolio Management. Bachelor of Science degree in hand, I went on to Miami University, Oxford, Ohio for an MBA degree.

Upon graduation from Miami University, I had the good fortune to practice my craft as a global market analyst at The Procter & Gamble Company. The learning opportunities at this leading Fortune 50 firm were unparalleled. I developed invaluable real-world skills, investing portions of P&G's multi-billion-dollar research & development portfolio; and acquired related experience in Market Research, Licensing & Acquisitions, Competitive Analysis, Marketing/Advertising and Global Strategic Planning.

I founded Meyer Capital Management, Inc. in early 1996. As President & Chief Investment Officer, I chair the Investment Policy Committee and am intimately involved with every client relationship. I am a member of the CFA Institute and the Cincinnati Society of Financial Analysts.

My volunteer and community service involvement includes:

  • Better Business Bureau of Cincinnati, Program Judge -- Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics & Integrity, 2009 & 2010
  • Wyoming City School Foundation, Past-President & Board Member
  • Wyoming City School District, Member, Blue Ribbon Finance Committee
  • Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, Board Trustee and Chair, Finance Committee
  • Inner City Youth Opportunities, Past Board Member

MelissaMELISSA L. DONOVAN, CFP®
Managing Director & Chief Compliance Officer

I am a native Cincinnatian and hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University. In 2011, I successfully completed the CFP Board’s requirements of education, examination, experience & ethics and was granted the Certified Financial Planner® designation. The Cincinnati Business Courier named me a winner of the 2009 Forty-Under-40 leadership award.

My experience in the investment management field began in 1994 at high-yield bond specialist Pacholder Associates (currently JP Morgan Asset Management). Subsequently, I obtained several years of private client experience at Johnson Investment Counsel.

I joined Meyer Capital Management in 2001 where I assumed increasingly complex, broad-based responsibilities. As a Certified Financial Planner®, I am responsible for MCM’s financial planning services, which are offered exclusively to our investment management clients. In my role as Managing Director, I oversee all administrative and client service matters. To our clients, I am their chief problem solver; a role that I thoroughly enjoy.

  • Cincinnati Business Courier Forty-Under-40 Award, Judge, 2010, 2011
  • Kindervelt of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Recording Secretary for the Landen chapter, past Citywide Financial Advisor, past Citywide Treasurer
